Given the task of designing a temporary information center for the 2028 LA Olympics, which would later become a permanent library, my goal was to efficiently incorporate natural daylight through the roof condition. By designing according to the sun’s rotation, LUX Library has become a space with consistent ambient lighting. The density and size of the wooden louvers are based on the privacy level of each space below. By repeating a trapezoidal modular layout and directly relating the roof design to the program below, I achieved this final unique design.
